This is performed using a tiny ‘vacuum sucker’. It is performed with the patient lying flat, with the add of a microscope, to make it easier for the doctor to see what is happening. It can make you dizzy for a very short period of tie. It is not painful

No water is used. It is not like syringing.

Ear drops can be used before wax removal to soften wax (available from the chemist). Sometimes ear spray is used after the procedure to help keep the ear clean.
