This is a quick simple method for testing for airborne allergy. I routinely test for cat, dog, grass, pollen, feathers, moulds, cat, dog, horse, rabbit and duck allergens. A tiny drop of fluid of each allergy specimen is placed on the forearm and then a tiny prick is applied to the skin. After 10 minutes, if an allergy is present, a small itchy patch forms on the forearm. This shows allergy to that specific allergen. The itchy swelling goes away after 20 minutes.

It is very important not to take antihistamine tablets for one week before the test, as this will neutralise the allergy test.
